ONCE a staple of summer outings and family trips, Terra Nova Gardens, which closed to the public in 2022 will be re-opening in a slightly different guise.

Located in Dromin, Athlacca, Deborah Begley has announced that they are opening later this year, not as they were before, but for garden tours, gardening classes and group bookings.

“We are taking a bit of a different direction, the garden is such a lovely space and when we closed, I really thought that was the end of it, but we can't not share the garden,” she said.

She said that it will be a space for gardening and flower groups, and to enjoy the garden, have a chat and some refreshments in the hobbit house.

“I've gone back to my roots, the garden is packed full of fantastic plants, with a lot planted from seeds and bulbs - there will be a great summer display,” Mrs Begley said.

“We are really excited,” she added, saying that gardening groups will be able to walk around, explore and also make a day trip out of it with nearby garden tours and gardening centres.

As a self-confessed garden enthusiast, Deborah has always enjoyed garden tours and wants to share Terra Nova yet again.

Updates and more information can be found on the Terra Nova social media pages and on www.terranova.ie with details of classes and tours.
