Good samaritan who found wallet with large sum of cash in Limerick gets praise from gardaí

Good deed by 'honest man' who handed in lost wallet earns him praise by gardaí

A “VERY honest man” who found a substantial amount of money in a wallet in Limerick city has been thanked by gardaí for declaring the lost property.

On Wednesday, February 26, a man was working in the Potato Market area when he found a wallet on the ground.

“He brought the wallet containing a large sum of cash to gardaí at Henry Street,” said Sergeant Michelle O’Halloran, crime prevention officer at Henry St garda station.

“Gardaí were able to locate the owner within 20 minutes as there was identification contained within the wallet, all thanks to the very honest man that found it!”
