Busy night for Limerick fire service

UNITS of the Limerick city fire service attended several fires across the city overnight and early this morning.

UNITS of the Limerick city fire service attended several fires across the city overnight and early this morning.

A number of house fires broke out at Derelict houses in O’Malley Park, Southill last night and there was a also a separate fire at house in Moyross.

A 38-year-old man was rescued by members of the fire service who attended another fire at an apartment complex at Alphonsus Street shortly after 6am.

The man, who was unconscious when he was discovered, was taken to hospital as a precaution. The building was evacuated but noone else was injured.

Members of the Limerick city fire service also attended a bonfire at Mulgrave Street last night.
