Reunion: The next meeting of the Glen National School Reunion committee will take place in Glen NS on Wednesday, 15th June at 8.30pm. All are welcome to attend. Work is at an advanced stage in preparation for the reunion and is going well. Many thanks to those who have made very generous donations for the reunion.

DANCE, MUSIC ART & SPORT CAMP: A dance music art & sport camp will take place in St Sinneachs Hall Carrickedmond from Monday to Friday 4th to 8th July 10am to 2pm.Children can be dropped of from 9.30am at the camp. The dance part of the camp will consist of hip hop line tap Scottish Irish dance ballroom ceili set flamenco and kinder dance. The music part of the camp will consist of tin whistle and recorder. Fees for families are 50 euro / child, 90 euro 2 children and 20 euro for each child after that. Children split up into groups according to age and a small show will be guaranteed if requested by parents and children. ARDAGH FEIS: Ardagh Feis under the Maureen Farrell School of Irish dancing will take place in Ardagh Community Centre Ardagh on Saturday 18 June for 8, 9 and 10 year old children commencing at 2.30pm and on Sunday 19 June commencing at 2.30 pm for all other age groups. Teas and refreshments available throughout the day.
Summer Camposis: Join the gang for craft activities, cooking – maybe a chocolate chip cookie or two, a couple of song and dances, maybe a play? Games and fun! Camposis is a series of Summer Camps run in Ardagh Community Centre, Ardagh Village, Co. Longford. We want children of all ages to come and have fun, there will be a full choice of age appropriate activities. Should a date fill with a certain age group we will notify contacts to ensure social comfort for all children. Dates are filling up: 11-15 July, 18-22 July, 25-29 July, 15-19 August. Ardagh Tidy Towns: Work in the village is progressing very well. Flower beds and containers were prepared and planted. The Wildlife Garden situated behind the Community Centre is well underway. Work is continuing in the Landscaping group every Wednesday and Thursday at 7.30. Thanks to everyone for helping and if anyone else would like to help out they are very welcome. The Clean Up Group are working through their programme and meeting as usual at 7pm on Mondays and Wednesday. In Carpentry some of the benches have been repaired and treated. New seats have been made from the recycled wood from the old benches. One of these benches has been placed in the graveyard. Thanks to those people who are looking after the areas and keeping them tidy and litter free. Keep up the good work and try to keep the village, playground and approach roads litter free, as the judging will be taking place shortly. You can support the work of the Ardagh Tidy Towns by attending the Bingo at 9pm on Tuesday nights in the Community Centre and /or buy the weekly lottery tickets . Thanks for your support.
