RAHEEN telecommunications firm Ripplecom has announced its first batch of students in IP Administration and Management have graduated.
Ripplecom, which provides wireless broadband Internet to much of the county, teamed up with IT Carlow to offer its staff vocational training.
The content of the programme is specific to the technologies that the broadband company has deployed to serve its customer base.
As well as gaining knowledge and expertise from the programme, the Ripplecom staff members have also been awarded a formal HETAC Level 6 qualification.
Managing director at Ripplecom, John McDonnell, said: “There is a tremendous appetite for dependable, high speed broadband within the Irish marketplace and we are actively investing in our people to ensure that we continue to aggressively gain market share. Ripplecom have been creating high end jobs in technology since our formation three years ago and we understand the importance of a Continual Professional Development (CPD) programme as recommended by Engineers Ireland.”
Ripplecom employs 20 people at its headquarters in the Raheen Industrial Estate.
