My week with Celia Holman Lee: School fashion show promises to be a delight

Laurel Hill’s fashion show is upcoming and I am giddy with excitement to see the fabulous designs that will be on display from the most innovative designers and fashion houses

This week I am anticipating one of the biggest fashion events of the year in Limerick.

Laurel Hill’s fashion show is upcoming and I am giddy with excitement to see the fabulous designs that will be on display from the most innovative designers and fashion houses that Ireland has to offer.

The Laurel Hill fashion show has been running for the past 47 years and I have been involved since its inception. The standard and quality of the models never dropped. Bar a pause during Covid, the event has been a decadent fixture of the Limerick fashion scene.

The fashion extravaganza is one of the longest running fashion shows in the entire country. It began in the school’s concert hall, but is now running in the Strand Hotel in the city. I scouted one of my favourite models of all time - Louise Cooney - at the school’s fashion show.

Having the young students as models is one the unique aspects of the show, and I will be watching the students with an eagle eye to see who may be Limerick’s next top model. Laurel Hill is a fantastic hunting ground for new models for my Holman Lee agency.

The show marks a huge social event for the city, and I simply cannot wait to present the event. Be sure to secure your tickets early as, if it’s anything like previous years, it is guaranteed to sell-out.

Tickets were like gold dust last year. I feel honoured and completely delighted to be part of such a wonderful venture, and I look forward to presenting the best style in the region.

To see the region's finest style, fashions, and young women in action be sure to get a ticket for March 5.

-Xx Celia
