At the recent Goss Awards I met the former Miss Universe, the beautiful Dancing with the Stars contestant Grainne Gallanagh who is now gone back to help on the front line fighting the coronavirus
WITH us all stuck inside for the most part, there isn’t a whole lot to do except watch the news or Netflix, dream of better days ahead and look back on the good times when we took much of our freedom for granted.
I have always been a huge fan of Dancing with the Stars and I’ve met a lot of the fabulous contestants down through the years. I really thought that my good colleague Mary Kennedy did so well this year to almost make it to the quarter final. At the recent Goss Awards I met the former Miss Universe, the beautiful Grainne Gallanagh. She is as beautiful in reality as she is on TV and also a fabulous person. I was so happy that she did so well on Dancing with the Stars as she was one of my favourites and I wasn’t surprised when I read that she had taken the call to go back on the front line to fight the coronavirus as her background is in nursing. May she stay safe and healthy.
ANOTHER fabulous Limerick woman, our own Louise Cooney, who is an international blogger and stylist is currently on lockdown in New York. I’m sure she is missing all her family and friends here in Limerick as New York is suffering very badly with the coronavirus. Her blog is cheerful and entertaining like herself and as she said recently which applies to most of us, ‘work is my home and home is my work’. Stay safe Louise!
That’s it for this week. Please everyone stay at home as much as you can. We will overcome this. Chat next week.
