My wish for 2025 - Retired Limerick hurler Graeme Mulcahy

NOW that I’m retired from inter county hurling, one of my main goals for 2025 is spending more time at home and especially on the weekends with my wife and kids and getting outdoors with them more often.
On a professional level, I aim to put more focus on advancing my career in the construction industry and network more.
A big goal of mine is to reduce my screen time! Since retiring I've gone back on Instagram and fallen into old habits of aimless scrolling. I know these platforms are built to be addictive and I find the constant exposure to curated, idealised versions of people's lives can trap you in a cycle of comparison, and sense of missing out which will never give you any sense of happiness.
My main wish is that all my family are happy and healthy and that my brother and his wife make it home from Australia for a visit at some point in 2025. We all miss them so much and there’s only so much you can connect over WhatsApp.
On a sporting level, I hope Kilmallock can bring the Daly Cup back to Kilmallock. It will be very difficult to dethrone Doon the way they performed in 2024, but let’s see what 2025 brings!
