University of Limerick, Technological University of the Shannon and Mary Immaculate College all enjoy the festive celebrations.
Students from all the third-level institutions in Limerick take part in the Christmas event every year and locals are likely to observe hundreds of students wearing Christmas jumpers in Limerick city centre, Castletroy and surrounding areas today.
The Angel Lane Nightclub, located on Robert Street, The Moose Bar, located in Cathedral place and Smyths on Denmark Street are also popular spots for the annual 'Christmas Day' activities.
