In Pictures: Launch of Limerick North Munster Rotary Club Remembrance Tree

THE Mayor of the city and county of Limerick has officially launched the Limerick North Munster Rotary Club Remembrance Tree.

Cllr Gerald Mitchell was on hand for the unveiling of the tree which is located at Bedford Row in the city centre.

The aim of the tree is to provide a public space for people to remember loved ones who have passed on or who are unable to be with them for Christmas.

Members of the public are invited to write the name of their loved ones on a yellow ribbon which is then put on the tree.

While there is no charge, voluntary donations can be made with monies going towards a number of nominated charities.
