My Week: Bridal bliss takes over UL Arena

The Mid West Bridal Exhibition was another huge success. I’m pictured here with the exhibition stand winners

WE are blessed to have the UL Sports Arena on our doorstep and for the 18th year it hosted the Mid West Bridal Exhibition.

It was great to see so many couples coming through the door in anticipation of finding the dream dress, the perfect location, the wedding car and everything else for their special day. Mother of the bride/groom, guest at the wedding and bridesmaids had such a variety to choose from and on a personal note I want to thank all the exhibitors for doing such an incredible job in catering for the needs of the wedding party.

Each year, the exhibitors pull out all the stops in terms of their stands. The judge this year was Michelle Regazolli Stone (Mrs Makeup) and her choices were Brown Thomas for their Beauty Bar, Frank McNamara printers and Cakes by Allison. From all at the Holman Lee agency, thank you for your ongoing support!

The Today Show

ON another note, I recently appeared with Daithi O’Se on The Today Show for a slot with George Stacpoole Antiques in Adare.

George appears on RTE regularly with his antiques slot which I really enjoy.

When I got a call about an old doll that I had since my early childhood and was asked to come on the show I was delighted to appear with her.

She was bought in a toy shop in Rutland Street more than 60 years ago!

The slot went down a treat with viewers and I was delighted to appear with her.
