My Week: Fashion, food and fun for a great cause

What a wonderful evening of fashion, food and entertainment we had at the Longcourt House Hotel in Newcastle West. The event was in aid of the Chernobyl Children International charity

IT was undoubtedly one of the most glamorous evenings of fashion, food and entertainment at the Longcourt House Hotel in Newcastle West.

The event was in aid of the Chernobyl Children International charity founded by that great humanitarian Adi Roche who was present on the evening.

The fashionable event was the brainchild of Elaine Murrihy of Ela Maria, Ailish Mullane, Kimono Boutique, and Joan Cahill of Bella Sola.

It was a great pleasure for me to attend and it brought back some very fond memories of my days as a fashion model working with the wonderful Mary Hayes of Ela Maria in the Riveroom Hotel. The new hotel is rather beautiful and lended itself perfectly to this very fashionable event.

It was also great to work with my colleague Marietta Doran who is one of the country’s top stylists and TV personalities. It was such an amazing evening of fashion for such a great cause, Chernobyl Children International.

Just in time
for Christmas

I MADE the journey to Dublin last week to Newbridge Silverware for the launch of actress and author Amy Huberman’s exciting new jewellery collection just in time for Christmas. Amy's first jewellery collection was launched in 2016 and sold out repeatedly in its first six months.

This particular collection is no exception. While I was chatting with Amy she said that she was very excited about all the new additions and really enjoyed working on the designs and loved how the final pieces turned out.

If you are wondering where to purchase these pieces there is a wonderful Newbridge Silverware store in the Crescent Shopping Centre Limerick.
