A wonderful night was had by all at the Salesians Fashion Show in the Strand Hotel thanks to the hard work of the organising committee pictured here with me Picture: Gareth Williams
THE atmosphere was electric at the inaugural Salesian Primary School fashion show.
Hosted last Thursday night in the Limerick Strand Hotel, the event saw teachers from the school take to the catwalk alongside models from the Holman Lee Agency. Of course the teacher models stole the show! The night was hosted by Catriona Tierney and I. Catriona is a past pupil of the school and was in great form meeting some of her old teachers and friends. This amazing fundraiser was in aid of an all purpose room for the school. It was wonderful to see spring summer collections from some of the top boutiques in Limerick city and county being showcased including designs by Limerick-born designer Marion Murphy Cooney, who also went to Salesian Primary School. The fashions were modelled by Holman Lee Agency models against the backdrop designed by Alan from Alan’s Wedding Hire. I noticed that the audience was very glamorous and seemed to really enjoy the evening, which featured great fashion, spot prizes, amazing stands and a Prosecco reception. We want to thank the committee, volunteers, audience and the hotel!
Ireland’s Got Talent
I WAS thrilled to bump into these adorable kids Kyle and Syesha, (see photo left) who brought the judges to their feet and got through to the next round of Ireland’s Got Talent.
I met them in the TV3 studios - they are such amazing kids and so talented. The dancing duo even performed a little dance for us. I wish them best of luck in the series which is a great success!
