EVERY year I look forward to attending the Limerick Person of the Year awards. It is always such an amazing event where you get to meet so many inspiring people from all walks of life who have contributed to the pride and joy of Limerick city and county.
The event was hosted in the newly refurbished Clayton Hotel and I have to say the food, service, management and staff were fabulous!
All of the nominees for Limerick Person of the Year 2017 were equally outstanding in their chosen paths. The Person of the Year 2017 was Sr Helen Culhane, the founder of the Children's Grief Centre on South Circular Road, Limerick. She and her colleagues do terrific work helping young children overcome grief - the award was thoroughly deserving.
This year was particularly special as we honoured former minister for finance Michael Noonan with a lifetime achievement award. My husband and I have known Michael for many years and have followed his career and success with great pride. His contribution to Limerick city and county has been outstanding, Congratulations and best wishes Michael and well done to all 12 nominees and of course Sr Helen!
ON another note I am in Brown Thomas this Saturday, February, 24 for the Spring Summer Max Mara fashion workshops.
Max Mara is undoubtedly one my favourites labels, the wearability, the styling, the cut and the fabric makes them one of the biggest fashion labels in the world. So this Saturday why not come and join us for not one, not two but three fashion shows at 12.30, 1.30 and 3pm and enjoy a glass of bubbly. We would love to see you!
