EVERY Christmas since I can remember I have loved going to the Pantomime.
Now I enjoy it even more because I have four gorgeous grandchildren to go along with.
This year more than ever we are looking forward to Beauty and the Beast in the University Concert Hall which features a fantastic cast including George McMahon, Richie Hayes, Aoibhin Garrihy, Leanne Moore, Myles Breen, Karl Spain, John Brannoch, Tom O’Mahony and, of course, Richard Lynch. We can all be very proud of the UCH Christmas panto which has been very successful over the years and the support of Limerick people shows how important it is for the families and their Christmas tradition.
It will run from December 19 until January 8. Make sure to book your tickets early so you will not be disappointed as I believe it is going to be a sell-out show!
IT was many moons ago when I first met Maureen Harrison, the talented and internationally recognised jewellery designer, at a fashion show in Ennis and it was the first time I picked up a piece of Seoidin jewellery.
She has been designing and making her Seoidín jewellery range since opening in 1996. Seoidín jewellery is all hand-made with gold, silver, gold fill and semi-precious stones.
Since then I have collected quite a few special pieces and wherever I travel, everybody admires them.
I was delighted that Maureen has chosen to design a limited piece exclusively for Rape Crisis Midwest, which I helped to launch in her Limerick store.
I think this is a great initiative and this classical piece will last a lifetime for the sentimental value of it if nothing else.
