Super Saturday planned at BT

IT’S that time of year again, when one of my favourite fashion labels MaxMara presents its Autumn/Winter 2016 collection.

This year’s collection will be revealed on Saturday in Brown Thomas Limerick with a mini fashion shows at 12 noon, 1.30pm, 3pm and 4pm.

I have already had a sneak peek at the collection and it is truly one of the best seasons ever for MaxMara. If you are looking for a coat, jacket, knitwear or fantastically cut trousers then you should look no further and join us on Saturday for a glass of bubbly and those wonderful mini fashion shows throughout the day.

Off to the big smoke

I headed off to Dublin last weekend for two great events. The first one was the Council of Irish Fashion Designers Autumn /Winter Presentation and the second was the Brown Thomas annual fashion show in aid of ISPCC in the Intercontinental Hotel, Dublin.

Brown Thomas Autumn/Winter collection was spectacular.

When it came to incredible looks you couldn't beat thosefrom Victoria Beckham, Valentino, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney and, of course, Gucci to name but a few of the top names .

The highlight for me was to see the ‘Irish Supermodels’ who were brought back by Brown Thomas to once more wow the crowd.

Leading the runway was the fabulous Sheila Eustace who was an Irish supermodel for quite a few decades.

Sheila started her career with the Holman Lee Agency and I felt so proud on the day as she proved to be one of the top models with the audience.

It was great to catch up afterwards as Sheila now lives in Marbella.

The following morning I found myself watching CIFD presentation in the Peter Mark Studio in Dublin, where fourteen members of the council showcased their collections.

Amongst them was Limerick’s own, Caroline Mitchell, who’s knitwear collection was outstanding. I am such a huge fan.
