LEADING lights from the world of fashion and business turned out in force at the Dome in Tralee for the annual Rose of Tralee fashion show.
There was Tina Griffin and Carol Kennelly, who are both making great waves in the fashion industry, along with RTE’s Marty Morrissey, Paschal Sheehy, and Mary Kennedy who was accompanied by her beautiful daughter Eva Foster and her finance Benny Boland. The couple are tying the knot at the end of this year and I’m delighted to say that Benny is a proud Limerick man. From Tipperary Crystal, who were the main sponsors of the festival, was director Robbie Scanlan and his beautiful wife Karen, and representing Guinness Store was Paul Carty. It was a magical night as we danced into the early hours of the morning to the music of Brass and Co.
The selection nights of the Roses were also extremely well attended. In a new departure this year blogger extraordinaire James Patrice of RTE’s social media team was backstage interviewing in the greenroom. We had a chat both nights about what I was wearing. Social media seems to be a huge part of everything today and The Rose of Tralee is no exception!
