CRUSH 87 nightclub hosted one of the most glamorous events of the year - the annual Miss Limerick World beauty pageant.
Organised by the Holman Lee Agency in association with Miss Ireland, it brought 20 young, beautiful and accomplished ladies together to compete for the title. The gorgeous Aoife McNamara was crowned the winner of Miss Limerick 2016 and Ciara Buckley was crowned Miss Crush 87 as the first runner up. We would like to thank Glitzi Bitz for their sparkly tiaras and Ring-o-Roses for the beautiful flowers. A huge thank you to the judges, Madeline Mulqueen, Olivia O’Sullivan, Stephen O’Driscoll, Nollaig Malone and Roisin Cahill. The MC on the night, Patrick Hogan, put all the girls at ease.
This year’s prizes will cover all of Aoife’s beauty needs to prepare her for the Miss Ireland final. Her dress will be specially designed by Bowman Lynch Designs, shoes will be provided by Greene’s shoes, tan and nails by Enchant Beauty, beauty products by McCabe’s pharmacy, and there will be hair products by Hugh Campbell hair group. Catherine Hickey will look after Aoife’s makeup needs for a year and Breen McLaughlin will provide Aoife with personal training.
We would like to thank Brendan from Mid West Discount Card and Eamonn from Toothache.ie Dental for sponsoring the prizes for all contestants, and also Shaws, James Barry Motors, Balloons Boxes and Bows, The Zip Yard, and The Limerick Magazine to name but a few for all their help. Most of all we would like to thank all the contestants, their families and their sponsors for making it such a successful event.
Another special thank you to Bridget, Trevor, Sandra, Roger, Mary and Mike from Shallwedance.ie for putting on a great dance performance on the night.
Meanwhile, Caroline Mitchell Knitwear will hold a pop up sample sale shop in No 15 Le Maison De Curio on Anne St on Friday, June 17 and Saturday, June 18 from 11.30 am to 5.30 pm. Not to be missed!
