Limerick students shine at show

IT’S an annual excursion at this stage, and again this year myself and 16 of my models headed to the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs for the Mallow College of Tailoring end of year fashion show.

The show featured designs of the graduates of 2016 and it also featured some first and second year student designs as it is a platform for the college to showcase the talent that is emerging.

The Mallow College annual fashion show has always been a great launching pad for new faces from The Holman Lee Agency, and has been for almost 30 years.

I was so proud of the young Limerick models who were so professional on the night. Mary Cashman who is the owner and principal of Mallow College has been a huge supporter of this Limerick based agency throughout the years.

I have seen her tutor some fantastic Limerick student designers who have gone on to carve a career in this very competitive fashion industry.

Well done to everyone at Mallow College on another fantastic show!

Oxendales fashion slot

WHAT a spring/summer season we have had with Oxendales, from the seven-week fashion slot on RTÉ's Today Show to TV3’s Ireland AM as the final spring/summer looks were shown on Monday morning.

It is refreshing to work with such a wonderful company who have reintroduced some of the Irish supermodels of the past.

A lot of these models made their lives in different career paths so it was great to see them all back working and loving every minute of it.

We are all looking forward to a nice summer break before returning for autumn/winter RTE's Today Show and TV3’s Ireland AM.
