I am thrilled with the calibre of this year's Miss Limerick contestants
WE are absolutely thrilled with the calibre of the applicants for the Miss Limerick beauty contest 2016.
We already met some of the fabulous contestants, who are very excited to be part of this fantastic annual social event. The final of Miss Limerick will be held in Crush 87 nightclub on Thursday, June 2 at 7.30pm with tickets available on the door.
The winner will represent Limerick city and county in the Miss Ireland finals in July. We are very proud of our past winners who have done very well and we are hoping this year to bring the Miss Ireland title to Limerick. Applications are still welcome; simply email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
WOULD you believe that the Holman Lee Agency has been producing the Mallow College of Design and Tailoring annual graduate show for the last 32 years.
And we are off again with 20 models to the Clayton Hotel, Silver Springs, Cork next Friday, May 27. I always enjoy the creativity of young designers – I think it is very inspiring to see the new and fresh ideas that come from these incredible people!
Also well done to all involved in the Limerick School of Art and Design graduate fashion show which I attended with Asta. It always is an exciting event which showcases years of hard work by the students and tutors. The creativity and ingenuity was out of this world, and we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of the LSAD Gallery on Clare Street. Some of the previous graduates have gone on to work for the biggest fashion houses in the world and have established successful brands themselves. There were two awards on the night: the very talented Liadan Scott-Keogh won the AIB Work Placement Award and will serve her apprentice with Richard Malone in London. Richard, of course, is one the most successful and upcoming Irish designers.
Niamh Ciara Murray meanwhile won the LIT Award. Well done again to all involved!
