I teamed up with the beautiful ladies of Dell Limerick for a fashion event with all proceeds going to the Irish Cancer society
I WAS delighted to have been asked to host Ladies Day in Dell, Limerick in aid of Daffodil Day. It was great to see the incredible buzz around Dell compared to the dark days back a few years ago when so many people lost their jobs.
It seems to be onwards and upwards for Dell at the moment. That was certainly evident last Thursday when staff, both male and female, teamed up with some of Limerick’s top fashion stores: Debenhams, The Ivory Closet and Tony Connolly, to strut their stuff in front of their colleagues.
Looking around the room I spotted many familiar businesses from around the city and county, supporting this event, the likes of make-up artist Catherine Hickey, Radisson Blu, The Limerick Strand, LA College of Creative Arts, the George Boutique Hotel to name but a few.
My Closet-Your Closet pop up shop was really impressive selling second hand clothes and accessories. There also was a best dressed lady competition that went down a treat with the crowd. Everybody who participated, including myself, donated their services for free, with all the proceeds going to Irish Cancer Society.
Max Mara at BT
WE were back in Brown Thomas Limerick at the MaxMara department to present the fabulous Spring Summer 2016 collection last Saturday. MaxMara is certainly a label I have so much respect for - year after year it never fails to disappoint me with its innovative approach to sustainable fashion.
Their weekend capsule collection is inspired by travelling around the world, a fantasy journey through some of the most delightful and best-known places in the world.
Wearing MaxMara Weekend would certainly make you the best dressed traveller, even it’s a weekend break in Ireland. MaxMara Studio is a more sophisticated wear for occasions, which you can see me wearing it in the picture. For the second season, Brown Thomas Limerick introduced Sportmax and, believe me ladies, if you are looking for something really special, check it out!
Finally - a note for your diary, Asta Lee Personal Development and Deportment Course Bootcamp will be held in the Castletroy Park hotel on Saturday, March 19. Check her Facebook page for more information. Chat to you next week!
