BOTH the Limerick Senior and Junior camogie sides are back in action this weekend in the second round of the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Championships.
Games come thick and fast in this year's championship and the Limerick Senior team face another tough challenge this Saturday, June 1 as they travel to Waterford.
Joe Quaid's side registered a disappointing 1-19 to 0-4 loss to Kilkenny in their opening round game in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale, last weekend, with their four points coming from frees.
Saturday's opponents Waterford had a ding-dong battle with Tipperary in their opening of the All-Ireland Championship with the Premier County coming away with the 1-19 to 2-13 victory, increasing the importance of this weekend's fixture.
Meanwhile, Limerick's Junior camogie side opened their All-Ireland Premier Junior Championship with a runaway 3-20 to 0-2 victory over Mayo. Group 2 table toppers Limerick host Roscommon in Cappamore this Saturday, 2pm.
Manager of the Limerick junior side David Deady was happy with their performance against Mayo last weekend .
Deady said: “We were delighted with the scoreline, but our wides were in double digits as well so that is something for us to work on.
“We were probably over eager with our shooting at points and some of our shot selection was poor, so we want to right that wrong throughout the championship.”
