KELLIHERS Electrical has opened a new branch in Limerick city.

The retailer has moved from the Dock Road location it has called home for the past 36 years, just around the corner to Atlas Avenue.

Orla Matthews, the chief executive of the firm’s parent company Rexel Ireland said: “This new improved branch is an important step in our commitment to better serve Limerick city and the surrounding area. With convenient access from the busy Dock Road, and our extended product range and improved customer service, including a 24/7 out of hours order collection area, we are reinvesting in Limerick.”

Kellihers is one of the largest electrical wholesale groups in Ireland, with 24 branches nationwide.

Ms Matthews added: “We understand what matters to our customers: fast response times, strong stock availability and a consistent, reliable service. Our branch’s operations receive further support from Rexel Ireland’s 100,000 square foot national distribution centre in Baldonnell, Co Dublin, which has significantly improved stock availability and delivery speeds across the network while underpinning faster fulfilment for our trade customers.”

Paul Mitchell is the manager at the branch, which was opened officially by Mayor John Moran.

He said: “We’re thrilled to open our new doors in Limerick. Our team is ready to serve the Limerick electrical contractors but everyone is welcome to drop in to see our full range of lighting, solar solutions, heaters, cable and wiring accessories on offer.”

“In fact, at Kellihers Limerick we can offer our customers a combined 174 years of experience in the electrical and wholesale industry. There are not too many businesses around with that level of expertise under one roof,” he added.

The Rexel Group operates in 17 countries, with over 1,900 branches and employs more than 26,000 people.
