Mango is set to open a new outlet in Limerick city

SPANISH fashion chain Mango is set to open a new store at the former Debenhams building in Limerick city centre on Friday at 10am.

The unit has been largely out of use since Easter 2020, at the start of the Covid-19 lockdown when the British retailer collapsed into liquidation

But now the prime art-deco style building at the junction of O'Connell Street and Sarsfield Street is set for a new lease of life on February 20.

Signage belonging to Mango, which was founded in Barcelona 41 years ago, has been plastered on the window of the building last December.

The overall project is being led by Galway developer Michael McDonagh.
