All-star Limerick hurler Kyle Hayes announces he is 'seeking a new role'

ALL-STAR Limerick hurler Kyle Hayes has declared he is "open to work", on the social media website LinkedIn.

The Kildimo-Pallaskenry clubman, who has played a starring role as Limerick secured five All-Ireland titles, has announced his availability for future employment in a post which has been re-posted by other senior hurlers.

He has used the hashtag #opentowork, popular among job seekers across social media.

In the message, he wrote: "I am seeking a new role and would appreciate your support. If you hear of any opportunities or just want to catch up, please send me a message of comment below. I'd love to reconnect."

Mr Hayes went on to state that he is open to roles in Limerick, and is looking for HR business partner and business development specialised roles.

He also outlined how he previously worked at engineering firm Kirby Group, based in the Raheen Industrial Estate.

Here, he worked to oversee the human resource functions for its business units in the Munster province. His LinkedIn profile states this role has ended this month.

The star hurler has also worked for Uisce Eireann (formerly Irish Water) as a meter reader and as a cable fitter for Alltec Fibre, which has its Limerick base in Dock Road.

He graduated in business studies and human resource management from University of Limerick in 2020.

On his LinkedIn page, the 27-year-old centre-back wrote: "I pride myself on my ability to deliver exceptional results. I have the interpersonal and communication skills to enable me to work effectively across multiple departments with company personnel, senior management and clients, and possess the knowledge and experience to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines, while meeting key performance indicators and adhering to company policies and procedures."

He added he considers himself "adaptable, resourceful and enthusiastic with excellent attention to detail, high initiative and solid problem solving skills."
