ARACHAS, the country’s largest nationwide insurance broker, has unveiled a new, larger office in Limerick, as it continues to expand its business in the city and surrounding areas.

The new office in Castletroy was the former premises of Gerry O’ Mahony Insurances, acquired by Arachas in September 2024. The official opening ceremony, held last Friday, was performed by Limerick athlete Sarah Lavin and Arachas’ brand ambassador and hurling legend Seán Óg Ó hAilpín.

Commenting on the opening, Daniel Hennessy, Regional Director, Mid-West Arachas and current Limerick Insurance Institute President said:

“This is a landmark day for Arachas and our expanding Limerick operations with the opening of our new larger office, as we continue to grow our presence in the area responding to the needs of the city that is due to increase its population by 50,000 over the coming years.

“Despite being local, Arachas has the advantage of being part of an international group that allows us to source effective and cost-effective solutions that we are particularly seeing a demand for insurance products in the construction, hospitality, and logistics sectors.

“Our new office also has plenty of parking making it easier for all customers to drop into us in Castletroy and meet us face to face.”

In 2021, Arachas acquired the Hooper Dolan business in Limerick and strengthened its presence in Limerick with the acquisition of O’Malley Griffin in 2023 and Gerry O'Mahony Insurances in September 2024. Arachas has also just announced new offices in Tipperary town.

Arachas has grown strongly in Limerick as it continues to source the best insurance products for a variety of sectors including the multinational sector.

Employment numbers in Limerick have significantly grown over the past three years, reflecting the growth and the local and national expertise of Arachas.
