William Martin of Martin’s Coaches passes the title to David Conway of Flight Link
THE NEWLY elected chair of the Coach Tourism and Transport Council of Ireland (CTTC) is CEO of Flight Link, David Conway.
The Crescent College and University of Limerick graduate founded the Flightlink company in 2023, to connect Limerick as well as Clare and Kerry to Dublin airport.
Mr. Conway succeeds William Martin of Martin’s Coaches, who has held the role for two years.
The CTTC is Ireland’s leading representative body for commercial bus and coach operators.
Mr. Conway, previously the vice-Chair of the CTTC from 2023-2025 was elected at the council’s AGM in Foynes Flying Boat Museum, Co. Limerick.
David Conway is the founder and CEO of Limerick-based commercial bus company, Flight Link, which offers bus services from locations across Limerick, Clare, and Kerry to Dublin Airport.

The meeting was followed by dinner and networking at the Woodlands Hotel in Adare last Friday, March 7.
It featured a guest address from member of the European Parliament’s Transport Committee, Cynthia Ni Mhurchu MEP, with leader of Independent Ireland, Michael Collins TD and Mayor of Limerick, John Moran also in attendance at periods during the day.
David Conway expressed his thanks and said, “It is an honour to be elected chair of the CTTC and to have the opportunity to lead this group of vitally important representatives of the commercial bus and coach sector in Ireland.
“As plans for decarbonising the transport sector in Ireland and across the EU are underway, making the voice of the commercial bus sector heard is crucial from a tourism and transport perspective.”
The key priorities of the CTTC include reduced transport fares for passengers, funding support for alternatively fueled vehicles, and enhanced infrastructure to enable consumers to make the modal shift.
