Damien McCarthy founded HR Buddy back in 2017, when it was known as Killarney HR and Payroll
A HUMAN resources consultancy firm is to open a new office in Limerick.
HR Buddy, already located in Kerry and Dublin, will also expand to Cork city.
Damien McCarthy, who founded HR Buddy in 2017, says given the growth of the company, “it made sense” to open in new regional locations.

His company provide back office support to small firms, providing finance, payroll, IT and business development services.
It became known as HR Buddy in March 2021, when it was rebranded from Killarney HR and Payroll.
Mr McCarthy said: “We are excited to continue to grow our reach. Given the expertise and support needed by businesses throughout the country, it makes sense that we grow our regional bases. I would envisage that there will be more add-ons to this in the very near future and we are currently looking at this. We have begun adding to our team and will continue to do so to meet the demands of our growing client-base.”
Twenty new jobs were announced for HR Buddy in July last year.
It followed the launch of a new service at the back end of 2023.
