The exterior of the fashion boutique located on Denmark Street in Limerick city
A BOUTIQUE located in Limerick city will close later this month, citing rising costs and a lack of footfall in the city centre.
White Feather Boutique located on Denmark Street in the city centre has been in operation for the past five years.
Owner Saffron Dunne said she made the decision to close to store due to the lack of footfall in the city and the costs of keeping a shop were getting too expensive.
Taking to social media to reveal the news, the White Feather Boutique posted:
"After five incredible years, we've made the tough decision to close our doors at the end of January. This year has been challenging for many small businesses, and we are no exception.

"While we're saying goodbye to our physical space, this isn't the end! Our online shop will remain open, so you can continue to find your favourite items and support us from afar. Stay tuned for updates, sales, and special announcements as we transition to this new chapter.
Here's to cherishing the memories we've made together and looking forward to what's next."
Ms Dunne added that she's "excited" to see what online brings but sad to not see customers face to face. "Will miss the shop but we might do some pop-ups in the summer so keep an eye on our socials!"
The store will be open until Saturday, January 24. It's closed from Sunday to Wednesday and open from 11.30am to 4.30pm on Thursdays and Fridays and from 10am to 5pm on Saturdays.
