THE BIGGEST night of the year in Limerick’s business calendar is set for this Friday as the annual Chamber awards take place.
Twenty-five companies from Limerick and across the region will battle it out for eight prizes at the annual black-tie ceremony at the Strand Hotel in the city centre.
The event will also double as Chamber president Noel Gavin’s annual dinner, and will honour the best and brightest business people across the region.

Limerick Leader / Limerick Live is once again a media partner for the prestigious awards ceremony, which is in its 14th year.
It is new Chamber chief executive Michelle Gallagher’s first business awards ceremony since starting in the high-profile role in the summer.
She said: “I am really looking forward to my first Regional Business Awards. Our team of judges and our awards committee have been working tirelessly over the last few months, for what is going to be a fantastic night in the Strand Hotel.
“I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all those who have made it to the shortlist for this year's Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards. It’s a remarkable achievement, and I am genuinely excited to join them this Friday in celebrating their collective success,” she added.
The eight winners - and an overall victor from this number - will be chosen by a panel of independent judges chaired by Tomas Sercovich, the chief executive of Business in the Community Ireland.
Also on the panel are former Chamber president Sean Lally, now of Hotel Woodstock in Ennis, former Chamber awards winner Liam Woulfe of Grassland Agro, Louise O’Reilly of Business to Arts, Vicki O’Toole of Tola Consultancy and Paul Shelly, an independent non-executive director.
Ms Gallagher added: “These awards are a vital platform for recognising the outstanding contributions businesses make to our region’s economy and community. They shine a well-deserved spotlight on innovation, resilience, and growth, highlighting the incredible talent and dedication that is driving our local business landscape. I look forward to celebrating their achievements and continuing to support the future growth of our vibrant business community in the Mid-West region.”
