FIVE jobs are set to be created locally as external maintenance and biodiversity experts Ground Control invests in Limerick.
Representatives of the British company are due on Shannonside this month to meet with and hire maintenance and winter gritting staff.
These roles will be indirect, the company has said.
Ground Control delivers a range of external maintenance and energy solutions services, including electric vehicle charging points installation, among other products and services.
It’s looking to set up partnerships with existing ground maintenance businesses to deliver a product which supports public and private sector clients on their decarbonisation journeys.

Ground Control’s country director for Ireland, Declan O’Gorman said: “We have ambitious plans to expand our operations in Limerick, and having recently signed a number of exciting new contracts, are looking to hire local field teams across the county.”
He said Ground Control would like to team up with sole traders and small teams.
“We strive to empower our local field-based teams through our unique and agile business model, which involves close collaboration with existing companies, leveraging our extensive expertise, scale, and experience to support our operations, secure new contracts, enhance our overall sustainability expertise, and accelerate local business growth,” he added.
