STAFF at Ivan’s store in Limerick have commenced a sit-in at the premises, which closed on Sunday night.

Staff employed at the Caherdavin store are furious at an alleged non-payment of redundancy and isses with payment of wages.

Twenty of the 30 employees attended a meeting this Tuesday night in the Greenhills Hotel, where it was agreed that in a bid to get what they claim they are entitled to, they would occupy the shop.

It is understood Ivan Cremins, the owner, has so far not engaged with the staff, or their union SIPTU.
