A LUCKY Limerick punter who has won €350,000 in the Lotto has said it “feels like a dream”.

The Limerick man, who bought his ticket in the Applegreen Corbally Service Station on Saturday, won the prize in Saturday’s Lotto Plus 1 draw that also saw the winning €4.4m jackpot ticket sold in Sixmilebridge.

The delighted winner, who collected his prize in Dublin today, said it is the “first bit of luck” he has had in his life and was surprised when he found out the good news.

“I couldn’t believe it. It felt like I was in a dream and I was wondering when I was going to wake up,” laughed the man from County Limerick, who wishes to remain anonymous, according to the National Lottery.

The winning jackpot ticket for €4,433,754 which was sold at Reddan’s Store and Post Office in Sixmilebridge on Friday, has yet to be claimed, as has a second winner of the Lotto Plus 1 top prize of €350,000, sold in Dublin.

The family-run shop, owned by Patsy and Tony Reddan, has enjoyed previous National Lottery success, but nothing on the scale of this latest win.

“There’s great craic altogether and anyone who wins €5 lets out a scream and sure we all think it’s them then,” said Kate Reddan. Current Clare hurling boss Davy Fitzgerald is from Sixmilebridge and his mother is known to be a regular at Reddan’s. The winning numbers were 10, 18, 23, 26, 42, 45, and the bonus was 13.

The latest huge Lotto win in the region follows just a matter of weeks after a ‘family syndicate’ recently collected a cool €1m prize after sharing the jackpot draw.

The family bought the ticket on Friday, June 13 in Ryan’s Raheen Foodstores, which saw them share a €2m jackpot with a couple from Wexford.

And a Limerick man is celebrating collecting €500,000, the top prize in EuroMillions Plus game, last week after buying a €3 EuroMillions ticket with the Plus game in the Centra Store, Main Street in Kilfinane - also on Friday, June 13!

More than €200m has been won by National Lottery players in Limerick and the surrounding region, with city woman Dolores McNamara continuing to hold the record for biggest win in Limerick and indeed the country, scooping €115 million in the Euro Millions in 2005.
