DRUGS with a street value of more than €18,000 and a "viable device" were seized as Gardai swooped on two properties in Limerick.
Gardai attached to the Limerick Division Drugs Unit conducted a major search operation at two homes in Talbot Street in Prospect on the southside this Monday, December 8.
The operation took place over around seven hours, Limerick Live understands.

During the course of the searches, a quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia was seized.
These will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for examination.
Gardaí searched the rear garden of one of the properties and located what they believed to be a viable device.
A cordon was established and neighbouring properties were evacuated.
An Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team where requested and they removed an improvised device for further examination. Residents were later allowed to return to their homes.
Investigations are continuing.
