Major delays on busy Limerick road following two-car collision

MOTORISTS travelling on the N20, Limerick to Cork road, are being advised of delays following a collision this Sunday night.

The incident, involving two cars, happened on the Croom side of Banogue village, shortly before 8.45pm.

Emergency services, including gardai and retained firefighters from Kilmallock and Rathkeale are currently attending the scene.

It's understood traffic is at an almost complete standstill close to the scene of the collision and that some motorists have begun turning back.

Further details of what happened are not yet available and it's not clear if there have have been any serious injuries.
