THE heartwarming stage production Tuesdays with Morrie comes to the Lime Tree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College, this Wednesday and Thursday.
Directed by Breda Cashe and starring Terry Byrne as Morrie Schwartz and Andy Murray as Mitch Albom, the play tells the the autobiographical story of journalist Albom and Schwartz, his former college professor.
Upon learning that his old college professor is battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease, Mitch seeks out Morrie and a simple visit becomes a regular pilgrimage and treatise on the meaning of life through their conversations in the play, written by Jeffrey Hatcher and Mitch Albom himself.
The play is adapted from the from the phenomenally popular first novel of the same name by Albom, his first, which has subsequently been produced around the world.
