THE Limerick Car Club has announced a motoring bonanza, a special celebrating the 40th anniversary of Jack Kingston’s founding of the Limerick Classic and Vintage Car Club.
This milestone celebration will take place on Sunday, August 31, from 11am to 3pm at the Woodlands House Hotel, Adare, and offers a spectacular day out for car enthusiasts and families alike.
The event will showcase an impressive array of modern, classic, sporty, historic cars, tractors, motorbikes and historic vehicles, bringing together collectors, restorers, and admirers of motoring history from across the country. It’s a fitting tribute to Jack Kingston’s enduring passion and vision, which sparked the formation of one of the country's most respected vintage car clubs four decades ago.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate 40 years of motoring culture in Limerick and honour Jack Kingston’s legacy,” said Chairman of the Limerick Car Club, Ray Gavin.

“It’s going to be a day filled with nostalgia, community spirit, and some truly beautiful vehicles from the four corners of Ireland.”
Brian Draper, Limerick Car Club, added that with the addition of Little Blue Heroes charity, the car community is helping put smiles back onto old and young faces with “a truly unbelievable array of vehicles from past to present on display”.
In addition to the incredible vehicles on display, the event will have music, food stalls, children’s entertainment, and opportunities to meet some of the people behind Ireland’s thriving car scene.
The motoring bonanza will also include a charity collection in aid of Little Blue Heroes, an organisation supporting families of children undergoing long-term medical care.
The motoring bonanza is supported by StarGas Kilmallock, JD Express, Mower Power, Dock Road, Michael Fitzgerald electrical whose generous backing is helping to make this event one to remember. Admission costs €10, and all are welcome to attend.
