Famous actor spotted filming new TV drama on Limerick's Henry Street

ACTOR Robert Sheehan was spotted filming on Henry Street in Limerick city this weekend.

Robert is best known for his roles in Love/Hate, Misfits and The Umbrella Academy.

The actor was seen with fake blood on his face, tugging a fridge/freezer down Henry Street in a recreation of the iconic scene from Did You Hear About Erskine Fogarty?

The Laois native will be starring in a TV adaptation of Did You Hear About Erskine Fogarty?, based on Blindboy Boatclub’s short story.

The production will feature in this season’s RTÉ Storyland short drama series.

Described as “a darkly absurd comedy”, Did You Hear About Erskine Fogarty? is set in Limerick in 2008 amid the recession.

Blindboy, a Limerick artist widely known as one half of The Rubberbandits, published Did You Hear About Erskine Fogarty? as part of The Gospel According to Blindboy in 15 Short Stories.

In a post on his Instagram story, Blindboy Boatclub shared a video of Robert Sheehan filming the scene, even giving his 203 thousand followers a glimpse of what it will look like, as seen from a monitor on set.

He captioned the video: “Filming an adaptation of my short story “Did you read about Erskine Fogarty” in Limerick today. With the brilliant Robbie Sheehan as Erskine”.
