Songbird Eve Stafford set to record debut album

Soprano Eve Stafford is recording a new album I PICTURE: Morning Star

LIMERICK songstress and classical crossover artist Eva Stafford is to enter the studio this month to record her debut album Songbird.
Eve, who was born and raised in Fedamore, will get behind the decks at The Stables studio in Cratloe to put together the album.
She is working with renowned folk artist Ger O’Donnell, alongside multi-talented pianist and composer Denis Carey.
Eve has promised her album will contain a rich blend of Irish music through the ages, infused with classical influences and her unique signature style.
Composer Denis will contribute a special song to the album, working alongside Brendan Graham.
Eve is well-known to Limerick audiences having performed regularly in solo recitals at St Mary’s Cathedral, Mary Immaculate College and the Hunt Museum, all in the city centre.
On top of this, she has also appeared in several productions with Opera Workshop and concerts with the Limerick Opera Festival.
A multi award winning vocalist, she has won won all her major awards at Féile Luimnigh and Feis Maitiú in Cork.
Eve studied as a soprano with vocal coach, Olive Cowpar for a number of years.
While she has a background in classical music she enjoys singing a variety of genres.
Limerick brides and grooms will no doubt be familiar with Eve as a sought after wedding singer having performed at wedding ceremonies and corporate events all across the province for more than a decade.
Away from the studio, Eve is the vice-president of Network Limerick, a group which supports woman in business and the arts.
She will become its president next year.
Her album comes hot-on-the-heels of her Songbird concert series.

She will return to Limerick next month where she collaborates with Fitzgerald's Woodlands House Hotel in Adare for a concert.
She will present a special event focused on wedding music, and will be joined by pianist, Fiona Linnane and violinist, Anna Jane Ryan.
This takes place on Sunday, September 22 in the hotel.
