The elite of the film world is set to descend on Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre for the 2024 Oscars on Sunday night with Jimmy Kimmel hosting his fourth Academy Awards.
Cillian Murphy is the only Irish actor nominated for an award with his portrayal of J. Robert Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan's blockbuster nominated for Best Actor, while Dubliner Robbie Ryan received a nod for the Best Cinematography category for his work on Poor Things.
The ceremony kicks off at 11pm Irish time on Sunday, March 10 and for those looking to brush up on the nominees from the comfort of their own couch, we've got good news.
Netflix received 18 nominations across 10 titles including American Symphony, May December, NYAD, Rustin, Society of the Snow, The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, El Conde, The After, Nimona, and of course their seven-nomination star Maestro.
