Strong criticism of the fact that the City Council as the Planning Authority had not been consulted in connection with the division of the city into wards for local election purposes was made at last night’s meeting of the Planning Authority.
The matter arose when the council went on to consider the Provisional Plan for the cities development.
Ald. S. Coughlan, T.D, said that the council, as Planning Authority for the city, should have been consulted by the Department of Local Government in regards to the division of the city.
