Sydney Rose - Laura Foley Hello! I’m Laura, I’m 26, and I’m from Sydney, Australia. My Irish heritage comes from my dad, a proud Graiguenamanagh man from County Kilkenny. I’m a qualified Occupational Therapist, previously working with children with disabilities. I now work at the University of New South Wales as a Research Assistant on projects focused on physical activity, gender equality, and building positive futures for young people and First Nations Indigenous Australians. I’m currently in my final year of a Master’s in Public Health and plan to pursue a PhD in sport and equality, with a focus on empowering marginalised communities. Though born and raised in Sydney, my Irish heritage has always been central to my identity. I’ve proudly stayed connected through 20 years of Irish dancing—a tradition that’s deepened my connection to Irish culture and community. I’m passionate about public health advocacy and actively support initiatives including the Cancer Council, Darkness into Light, and Liptember. As a Rose, I’m honoured to represent my Irish roots, celebrate the vibrant Sydney-Irish community, and inspire young women to lead boldly and pursue ambitious futures.

Texas Rose - Sara Costa Hi, y’all! My name is Sara, and I am thrilled to be the 2025 Texas Rose. I’m 21 years old and proudly from Austin, Texas. I’m currently studying Political Communication and the Persian language at the University of Texas at Austin, where I’m passionate about community, connection, and learning all that I can! Irish dance has been a huge part of my life for the past 15 years, helping me find confidence, lifelong friendships, and a deep pride in my heritage. My Irish roots hail from Collooney, County Sligo, a place I hold close to my heart. In my free time, I love thrifting for vintage treasures, finding new coffee shops, and sharing my thyroid cancer journey online to inspire and uplift others. I also love reading the news and have enjoyed keeping up to date on the latest happenings in Ireland. It is such an honor to represent Texas on the international stage, and I am so excited to celebrate our shared Irish culture, make new memories, and meet so many amazing people in Tralee this summer.

Toronto Rose - Rachel Hoare Hi there! I’m Rachel, and I was born and raised just outside of Toronto, Canada. My Irish roots come from my dad, who moved to Canada as a young adult. I recently graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Women and Gender Studies. This fall, I’m heading to St. Francis Xavier University to begin the Education program and work toward my dream of becoming a high school teacher. Community involvement means a lot to me. I’ve volunteered at the Celtic Fall Festival for the past three years and have supported organizations like MudGirl, the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation, and ErinoakKids. One of my favourite projects has been knitting hats for newborns at my local hospital, a tribute to my Nana Rosaleen, who also knitted for babies in need. I’ve been Irish dancing since I was four, and now I love cheering on my younger sister and helping out at competitions. I’m also a big fan of spinning, yoga, and running—and I’ve even raced in the Toronto Marathon!

Tyrone Rose - Cloideach Donaghy Hello everyone, I’m Clóideach Donaghy, from the parish of Errigal Ciaran in County Tyrone. Whether it’s a scenic walk or a day packed with adventure, adrenaline, or GAA, Tyrone has it all! I’m a secondary PE teacher with a passion for sports — especially rugby — and I never shy away from trying something new. Whether its charity wrestling or making coffee, I’m always up for a challenge (and a good laugh). I love connecting with people from all walks of life and take pride in supporting friends, family, and community — bringing people together, sharing stories, and lifting spirits through genuine moments of joy and laughter. This incredible opportunity to travel Ireland, meet inspiring individuals, and make friends feels like a dream come true. I aim to spread positivity and lead by example — with ambition, hard work, and plenty of care to go around, leaving a trail of smiles and warm memories wherever I go. Here’s to creating moments that matter, giving back, and celebrating the beautiful people and communities we are lucky to call home.
