Post-mortem examination carried out on body of woman found with baby

A post-mortem examination has been carried out on the body of a woman who was found dead with the body of a baby girl in Co Tipperary on Friday.
Gardai say the woman, in her 30s, was found with the infant in a home in Carrick-on-Suir.
The results of the woman’s post-mortem examination are not being released for “operational reasons”.
The post-mortem examination of the child is due to take place early next week, and the results will also not be released.
Gardai say they are focused on preparing a file for the coroner.
It is understood the incident was initially being treated as a medical tragedy.
