LOCAL Basketball bragging rights rest with the Limerick Celtics this weekend as their mens side defeated the UL Eagles 81-57.

The win sees Tony Hehir's side move to 8-3 from their 11 games, while the Eagles are now just 2-8 from their 10 outings.
Once more the platform for the win was the scoring prowess Turrell Morris who led the way with 35 on the night.

Celtics' women's side also won, 64-59 over Castleisland, taking them to 3-3 this season.
It was not all good news however for the Celtics, as they were defeated, away to IT Carlow on Sunday, 78-76.
