SLIDESHOW: Patrickswell claim County Junior Hurling league with Adare win

PATRICKSWELL 2-17 ADARE 0-7

Patrickswell bridged a quarter-century gap in Wednesday evening’s glorious sunshine when their second string hurlers overcame Adare to capture the county junior A league title.

Conceded home advantage after their opponents were unable to fulfil the original fixture ten days earlier, the City champions were never in any difficulty after the game’s first goal put them six points ahead after just twelve minutes and had the result wrapped up when they bagged their second just after the break.
