Limerick FC began life in the Women’s National League in the best possible fashion – notching a 4-0 win over Kilkenny United WFC at the Markets Field on Sunday afternoon.
A sensational performance from wing-back Lauren Keane saw her bag a brace – the first arriving in the ninth minute when she converted a right-wing cross.
The experienced Sylvia Gee added the second just five minutes into the second half before a lapse in concentration from the United rearguard allowed Keane to nip in and put the game beyond the visitors.
