Munster head coach Johann van Graan has confirmed that Gerbrandt Grobler will leave the squad at the end of the season.
Although van Graan would not be drawn on the reason for Grobler's departure, it is believed the second row will join up with Gloucester Rugby from next season onwards.
There had been rumours that the former Racing 92 second row had already signed a pre-contract agreement with Gloucester even before he joined the Munster panel and tonight's news will only add to that theory.
The Munster head coach was not able to comment on whether the decision for Grobler to leave was a Munster one or a player one.
The second row, who was arguably man of the match in tonight's draw with Ulster, will be replaced in the second row by Scarlets' star Tadhg Beirne next season.
