Huge crowds have greeted the #LimerickGiant to the city as she begins here three day journey.
Following months of preparations and planning, the 85-year-old grandmother finally arrived by rail at the Bus Eireann school bus depot shortly after 10am where several thousand people had gathered to see her arrival.
The Royal de Luxe extravaganza is set to continue until Sunday afternoon when she will depart by boat from Sarsfield Bridge.
Following her first walk through the city centre the granny has arrived at Russell Park where she will nap until around 3.30 this afternooon.
A major traffic plan will operate today, tomorrow and on Sunday and gardai say there have no major problems so far.
