A DRAMATIC fire engulfed a car in a residential area of Limerick city early this morning.
One unit from Limerick City Fire Service was dispatched to the scene in the Thomondgate area at 4.48am, on Thursday, March 27.

It was a lucky escape in that the car fire was quickly extinguished before it engulfed nearby residential premises.
There were no reports of injuries.
