VIDEO: Limerick says goodbye to Granny

There were emotional scenes in Limerick city centre this afternoon as tens of thousands of people said goodbye to the giant granny which has been visiting the city for the past three days.

Gardai estimate that around 100,000 people flocked to Limerick this afternoon as the #LimerickGiant made her way from the Treaty Stone over Sarsfield Bridge and around the city centre.

Since Friday, up to 250,000 people have descended on Limerick to witness the seven-metre granny during the Royal de Luxe extravaganza.
